 Frequently asked questions

Yes. All fully insured clients will automatically receive access to the Muscle and Joint Health Program as part of their Group Medical Coverage for Expats plan. This program will be effective starting July 1, 2026, for both new and existing clients. There is no additional cost for fully insured groups to access Sword’s services.

Yes. ASO/self-funded clients have the option to purchase the Muscle and Joint Health Program from Sword Health.

This program is not available as a standalone offering through Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions. However, employers may contract directly with Sword Health for standalone domestic populations.

Members can access the program through single sign on (SSO) using our app. After registering, they will complete an enrollment form and download the Sword Health: AI Care mobile app from the Apple® App Store® or Google Play™ store. All program components are delivered through the Sword app.

Along with personalized exercises, members have access to the Academy, which includes educational content such as learning modules, videos, digital planning tools and recorded classes. All content is developed and reviewed by clinical experts to ensure accuracy, inclusivity and evidence-based guidance. Topics include pain science, ergonomics, anatomy, mental health and women’s health.

Sword Health’s solutions are currently available in four languages: English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.

The program is available in 150+ countries.* Members are encouraged to download the app before beginning their assignment.

*Not Available in Russia, Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine under Russian occupation, North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Algeria, Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Tunisia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Israel. We have developed a comprehensive communications strategy that will inform and educate members about the availability and features of this digital musculoskeletal program. The communications plan includes email campaigns, social media, website updates, member guides, onboarding materials and promotion in the member newsletter.

Yes. If the primary participant is covered under the Group Medical Coverage for Expats plan, the program is available to their spouse or partner, as well as dependents aged 18 or older.
